Sydney’s Bus Tour

12/30/24

We started our day hopping on the hop on/off bus tour of Sydney. My uncle and aunt like to do these as a way to get a brief overview of the city and see which spots they’d like to explore further. I had never done a bus tour so was interested to see what it would be like. We packed a cooler and it didn’t take us long to crack it open. I don’t know if bus boozing is allowed but no one told us that it wasn’t and sometimes it’s better to ask for forgiveness rather than permission.

While on the bus tour we saw a good chunk of the city. I got another picture of the opera house. Because I didn’t have enough of them already. We saw a lot of the city and learned a bit of Sydney history. We ventured out to Bondi Beach. Not only was the beach beautiful, it was filled with beautiful people. There were a lot of defined abs that made me feel a bit self conscious about my midwestern winter body. I asked my uncle “Do these people know that carbs exist?” After the beach it was time to find ourselves a nice brewery. We landed at Sydney Brewery – Surry Hills.

Our next missions was walking to the Sydney Tower Eye and getting a nice view of the city from the top. Unfortunately, everyone else had the same idea and tickets were sold out. We did a bit of a bar hopping to break up our walk back to the hotel and called it an early night.
